Case manager self-care to maintain professional integrity and well-being–using Hypnotherapy or Meditation

Case managers often face ethical and professional integrity issues, sometimes even on a daily basis. According to the Scope of Practice for case managers CCMC Code of Professional Conduct “Board-Certified Case Managers (CCMs) embrace the underlying premise that when the individual (s) reaches the optimum level of wellness and functional capability, everyone benefits: the individual(s) served, their support systems, the health care delivery systems and the various reimbursement systems.” Therefore, the well-being of a case manager is the cornerstone, and a crucial factor for the treatment team to be successful in caring for patients.
It is very important for the case manager to have self-awareness of his or her personal feelings towards the case(s) being managed. There are plenty of strategies and steps to take to regain self-balance and start to feel positive and hopeful again
